Results announced: LiverpoolSU Officer Elections

A record breaking turnout for LiverpoolSU Officer Elections.
From 8 to 16 March 2012, LJMU students voted to elect the four students who will lead LiverpoolSU over the next year.
Darren McCabe, current LiverpoolSU President said;
"We’ve been really pleased with the turnout, with 4158 people voting. This is approximately 19% of the students at this university and an increase of nearly 200 people. I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to vote. Idd also like to thank the candidates who have spent all of last week, and time before, speaking to students and encouraging them to get involved in their Union."

The candidates in this election were Jason Kinnison-Holmes, Kylie Mills, Paul Abernethy and Re-Open Nominations (RON).
4138 valid votes were cast, meaning the quota was 2069
