Students at Liverpool Fashion Festival
10 February 2012
LJMU Art and Design students are playing an integral role in this weekend's Liverpool Fashion Festival at Aintree Racecourse.
Students are working with the event organisers both behind the scenes and front of house to ensure the festival runs smoothly, Level 5 Fashion and Communication students are documenting the event as part of their Professional Development module and, after a hotly contested modelling competition run in the School, several students are modelling designer clothing; wearing names such as Hugo Boss, Reiss, Ted Baker and Karen Millen.
As part of the grand finale catwalk show on Sunday, event-goers will see the collections of LJMU graduate Alena Johnson who was recently one of only ten graduates worldwide invited to show her work at the prestigious Paris fashion tradeshow, 'Who's Next/Pret-a-Porter.'
Also at the Festival will be a stand dedicated to showcasing the Fashion programme and all degree programmes available at the School of Art and Design.
