'A New Era, A New Environment’
How could and should our Education Sector in the Liverpool City Region prepare.
Liverpool City of Learning is holding a one day event, spnosored by ARUP, that will be of interest to University staff involved in developing programmes, promoting programmes, admissions linked staff and fair access.
Date: Wednesday 29 February 2012
Venue: The Women's International Centre for Economic Growth, St James Street, Liverpool L1 0AB
The event will explore how the different elements of the education sector across the Liverpool City Region could/should engage with the knowledge economy and growth sector developments in the Liverpool City Region to optimise on these emerging new opportunities, enable positive progression for young people and learners and consider the practical actions to achieve this.
Liverpool John Moores University Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Nigel Weatherill, will present his views on the city region's future and how LJMU can best play its part in contributing to the economic and social growth of the area and work with partners.
