New staff online e-learning module: Data Protection
20 December 2011
LJMU has launched a mandatory online e-learning module 'Data Protection' which must be completed by all staff.
The module is designed to raise awareness and support staff with the handling of information and its legal compliance. It provides an overview of the legislation and aims to help you to understand your rights and responsibilities as well as identify further sources of help.
The module takes 45 minutes to complete, with questions throughout to help you retain the information. At the end of the module you are required to undertake a short quiz. If necessary, you may repeat the questions.
This module needs to be completed annually, as part of the updating process, to learn about new policy, legislative changes and updates. Staff completion will be monitored through the University's PDPR process.
