Apprenticeship opportunities in HEIs - briefing event

03 May 2011

The LJMU Human Resources Team has organised an apprenticeship briefing event scheduled to take place on Tuesday 10 May from 9.30am to 1.00pm in Training Room 1, 5th Floor, Kingsway House.

The event will provide a unique opportunity for university departments to explore how apprenticeship schemes can be used for workforce development or as a tool for recruiting apprentices, especially given the present economic climate.

Representatives from the National Apprenticeship Service and Northwest Apprenticeship Training Agency will be delivering the sessions and also answering questions. This briefing event will be coordinated by Professor Frank Sanderson, Adviser to the Vice Chancellor.

This event has been set up in partnership with the HEI’s regional working group - formed in 2010 to take forward the promotion and creation of apprenticeship opportunities on behalf of the North West Universities.

For further information and to register your interest please email HREvents@ljmu.ac.uk as soon as possible, as places are limited.
