Product Innovation Show

The School of Engineering, Technology and Maritimes Operations will stage its first 'Product Design Show' from 11am-3pm on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th May at LJMU's Art and Design Academy - itself an award-winning and iconic building designed by the leading architect, Rick Mather. 

The event is open to the public, and there will also be an additional evening Alumni Reception on Wednesday 4th May from 5.30pm-7.15pm.

The Product Innovation Show will display work from every year of its new range of BSc programmes, including Level 2 student designs that have been developed as part of the ‘Innovation Challenge’ assessment. The ‘Innovation Challenge’ consisted of workshops and lectures on many topics including collaborative group work, knowledge mapping, creative thinking, customer led design and enterprise development. They were complemented by daily visiting breakfast lectures from Ford, Design Reality, Human Recognition Systems, United Utilities and several other innovative organisations. 

The event will be showcasing talent from the following programmes:

  • BSc (Hons) Product Innovation & Development
  • BSc (Hons) Computer Aided Design
  • BSc (Hons) Sustainable Design
  • BSc (Hons) Automotive Product Development
  • BSc (Hons) Sports Technology
