Academic Delivery

The Directorate for Academic Delivery is responsible for:

1. managing the deployment and development of staff
2. managing timetable and resource in relation to core teaching
3. taking a strategic overview of recruitment, marketing and admissions in order to inform policy and practice
4. overseeing programme development and delivery
5. overseeing the implementation of effective assessment procedures at centre level
6. promoting innovation in learning, teaching and assessment, curriculum design and content
7. promoting the development of research, CPD, enterprise and collaborative provision

Academic Centres

Academic staff within the Faculty are organised into 5 centres. Each member of academic staff 'belongs' to one of these 5 centres which comprise groups of staff who are engaged in broadly similar subject and programme work. The academic staff of the centres are line managed by Centre Leaders who are themselves line managed by the Dean of the Faculty, Kate Johnston.
