LJMU Leadership Programme
Leading to an ILM 5 Certificate in Leadership
(Suitable for Experienced Managers across the University)
Aims
To give middle managers a foundation for their formal development in their leadership role, doing so by developing individuals’ theoretical understanding of leadership skills and their application at the relevant level within their organisational structure and culture. The principle methodology behind this development programme engages the leader with emotional intelligence, self reflection and action learning in order to improve their leadership effectiveness.
This programme is comprised of a suite of modules which upon completion lead to an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership. Both Development, and Qualification routes are available (ILM Candidates must attend a minimum 80% of the sessions). Please read the information leaflet

* If you have completed one of the sessions within the previous 12 months, you may be able to earn credits retrospectively.
Option One – Development Route: Individuals can attend as many or as few of the individual sessions as they feel appropriate to their own development requirements. These sessions are all free of charge.
Option Two – Qualification Route: Individuals can choose to work towards the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership. This will require:
ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership
Completion of a personal reflection on leadership
Attendance on a 1 day teambuilding session
Participation in action learning sets
Completion of a work based assignment
