Core Programme Information
The University's Senior Management Group (SMG) and Board of Governors recognise that staff working in a changing and demanding environment need to be equipped with flexible core skills. In their commitment to address these core skill requirements across the University a range of development programmes are provided for new staff, to be attended within the first year of their employment.
It is the responsibility of line managers to ensure the attendance of their staff to fulfil the core skills learning and development requirements of the University.
Flexible arrangements for delivery of core learning and development for part-time staff are made in consultation with line managers. Alternative methods of delivery are provided for staff with disabilities.
Staff Development administers the core programmes for staff. The development and learning programmes are designed and delivered by our own facilitators. Course outlines giving further information are available for all core programmes (see links on the left).
