LJMU Programme in Leadership and Management
Leading to an ILM Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management
(Suitable for Middle Managers and Programme Leaders)
Aims
To give practising or potential managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic middle management and leadership skills and assisting participants in gaining the knowledge required for this level. The programme aims to focus on the responsibilities, processes and organisational setting of the management role.
This programme is comprised of a suite of modules from which individual managers can select the subjects they feel are most appropriate for their own personal development. * If you have completed one of these sessions within the previous 12 months, you may be able to earn credits retrospectively.
Option One – Development Route: Individuals can attend as many or as few of the individual sessions as they feel appropriate to their own development requirements. These sessions are all free of charge.
Option Two – Qualification Route: Individuals can choose to work towards the ILM Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management. This will require:
- Attendance at the Induction and the four mandatory modules
- Attendance for a minimum of eight further credits, made up from the remainder of the optional modules
- The completion of a work based written assignment
