Postgraduate and mature students
Accommodation advice for postgraduate and mature students
Each year LJMU sets aside bedrooms for new postgraduate or mature undergraduate students in several of the accommodation options offered to new students. "Mature" in this context means students who will be at least 21 years old when they first enrol at the University.
For academic year 2013/14 rooms have been set aside for such students in North Western Hall and in Rose Lane - but please note that only postgraduates studying at the I M Marsh Campus are eligible to live at Rose Lane.
In addition there are a limited number of rooms for postgraduate and mature students who require en-suite facilities at Liberty Atlantic Point and at Liberty Prospect Point.
Finally, there are a small number of self-contained studios at Apollo Court. These are the most expensive rooms on offer to new students at £131 per week including all fuel bills, contents insurance and a broadband connection.
Students who do not wish to share their accommodation with new undergraduate students and do not want to live in any of the options listed above should contact Liverpool Student Homes, which is owned by the three universities in Liverpool and maintains official listings of good quality private houses and flats.
Please note that there are no rooms available via the Accommodation Office for current LJMU students who have decided to undertake further postgraduate study, and these students should instead contact Liverpool Student Homes.
All students with special requirements or who require individual advice may of course contact the LJMU Accommodation Office at any time.
